Wet Hire
Wet hire refers to when you hire the machine with an operator. It is directly opposite to the term Dry Hire - see below.
Dry Hire
Dry Hire refers to when you hire just the machine only. You choose to operate the machine yourself. Asmentioned above this term is the direct oposite to Wet Hire.
Note that not all machines will be available for dry hire - for all people. Operating licences and tickets must be held to 'dry hire' some heavy machinery.
Our friendly staff will be happy to advise you.
Floatage
All machines must be transported to the site that you are working on. The term used for this transport is floatage.
You can elect to pick up the machine yourself. You can do this in two ways.
1. Some of the smaller machines can be transported on trailers which you can hire from Alert Rental Centre.
2. Organise a transport company to collect the machine on your behalf.
Seek the advice of your friendly Alert consultant to what might be best for your circumstance.
